I'm blogging right now from our new apartment. Hurray! We haven't really quite settled in yet (boxes are still all over the place), but it's good to be here. Goodbye foul neighbors. Haha! But on second thought, I kinda miss our old apartment. Hell, we've stayed there for years! And even longer for me -- more than six or seven years I think. Wow, that long... We've never had any complaints, except for the loud neighbors. Our old apartment looked great, it was cheap, the owner was really cool (would bring us pasalubong sometimes), and it was near the office and school. But outside the apartment was a whole different story: TOTAL CHAOS. Ok, that's an exaggeration. But it was enough to really piss us off. We'd be roused out of bed in the middle of the night by shouting and loud cursing. It was unbearable.
But I still sort of miss the old place. Oh well. Too late I guess.

I am happy for you. I can emphatize on your predicament regarding your former digs. I also have the same experience of LOUD Neighbors, whenever I go to Manila and visit relatives. The townhouse is more or less a working- class neighborhood, and discretion and sobriety are not in their vocabulary. The young 'hoods are on a drinking binge till the wee hours of the morning and they turn up the volume of their conversation when enebriation sets in. You can't sleep.....

thanks! :)
Hi Suyin...I'm just guessing that you're Ella's daughter. I'm an old friend of Ella's from Kalibo and I happened to come across her blog in Pinoy Mandarin that mentioned my name. Say hi to her for me. I'm looking forward to hearing from her. Thanks...Ruth Macogue
Hello Ruth,
Ari ako subong sa Tigbauan ,Iloilo. Did you know that a killer storm occured here in Panay Island, last June 21 ? according to Panayanons, it was the first time in their lifetimes, that they have witnessed Death & devastation, live and in living color. Extreme high casualty because of the flashfloods. It coulda been worse if it happened at night. good it happened in the daytime. The island is slowly recovering.
Are you from Perth Amboy ?
